Shocking reports have emerged about ‘catwoman’ Jocelyn Wildenstein, who recently passed away at the age of 84. Known for her distinctive appearance achieved through numerous plastic surgeries, Jocelyn’s death reportedly occurred peacefully in her sleep.
Her fiancé confirmed the news, mentioning that her passing took place on New Year’s Eve. Doctors have attributed her cause of death to a pulmonary embolism.
Adding more intrigue to her final days, Jocelyn was reportedly facing arrest due to ignoring several court orders linked to a massive $344k debt.
The judge in charge had noted that she neglected to attend a hearing regarding her case in Miami in October of the previous year. This resulted in an order for her arrest, which would have led to her being taken into custody until she appeared in court.
Consequently, Jocelyn had fled to Paris, where she ultimately succumbed to a pulmonary embolism in her sleep.
It’s presently unclear whether she intended to return to the United States, where she was under threat of eviction from her Miami Beach apartment—a matter tied to another lawsuit filed a few weeks earlier.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, she owed $268k to the esteemed Regal Jewelry and Gift Shop for jewelry that was never returned, and an additional $75k in interest had been included in her outstanding balance.
