A heart-stopping incident unfolded when a Boeing 737 passenger plane skidded off the runway, narrowly avoiding a plunge into the sea.

This alarming episode captured the breath of many as the aircraft came to a stop just feet from the water’s edge.

Footage of the dramatic landing shows the DY430 flight trying to make its way down the runway in Molde, located on the northern shores of Norway’s stunning peninsula.

However, the plane veered off the track shortly after its wheels touched ground.

This terrifying landing came after the flight departed from Oslo later in the afternoon.

Despite the journey being relatively short—lasting about 45 minutes—passengers were left in shock as the weather posed challenges upon approaching their destination.

Originally scheduled to depart earlier, the flight took off at 6:19 pm, a full hour later than planned, confronting adverse weather conditions during its landing attempt.

The moment the aircraft overshot the runway was intense; the realization of how close it came to plunging into the icy waters surrounding the airfield shocked passengers and crew alike.
