Kim Kardashian recently broke down in tears while discussing her ex-husband Kanye West in a preview for the upcoming episode of The Kardashians. At 42 years old, Kim was visibly emotional as she confided in her sister, Khloe, saying she was ‘not OK.’
The episode begins with Kim, the founder of SKIMS, preparing to take a new driver’s license photo. She quizzes her friends on whether West should be included in her name on the license. However, her friends advise her against it.
At one point in the preview, Khloe asks Kim if she is alright. The mother of four suddenly breaks down, admitting, “I’m not OK.”
Kim expresses her heartbreak as she says, “It’s so different than the person I married,” before the video shifts to a scene of Kim telling Khloe, “I just can’t.” Overcome with emotion, she says, “That’s who I loved and that’s who I remember. I’ll do anything to get that person back.”
Kim and Kanye began dating in October 2012. After a year, the rapper proposed, and the couple married in May 2014. However, their marital journey faced challenges, leading Kim to file for divorce last year. They have four children together: Psalm, Saint, Chicago, and North.
In the new episode, Kim confides in her mother, Kris Jenner, about her struggle with always being Kanye’s ‘clean-up crew’ after incidents. Kim stresses, “I don’t want to be part of this narrative, and it’s like when is this ever gonna end? Like it never will and I’m stuck with this for the rest of my life,” venting her overwhelming feelings.
Kris offers her perspective, reminding Kim that she cannot ‘control somebody else’ and noting that Kanye is responsible for his own actions. Kim adds that these situations impact their children, too.
Kris empathetically responds: “Of course it does. That’s the tragic part of the whole story.”
Kim concludes, “It’s the hardest feeling, to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with, just be so different than who you knew.”
