His first role at WTVM News in Columbus, Georgia, set the stage for an exceptional career. At WDIV in Detroit, he garnered three Emmys, showcasing his dedication and talent. Chauncy’s courage was evident when he helped deliver a baby during Hurricane Harvey’s live coverage, highlighting his bravery and commitment to service.

Making history at KTRK in Houston as the first Black male lead reporter, Glover spent eight remarkable years there. In October 2023, he joined KCAL, delivering news with charisma and zest to the Californian audience.

Community Commitment: The Chauncy Glover Project

Chauncy’s commitment to empowering the community extended beyond journalism. He initiated “The Chauncy Glover Project” (CGP) in Detroit, aiming to foster leadership and personal development among young men, particularly those of color.

Over 1,000 youths benefited from the project’s focus on personal growth, with 350 young men earning the opportunity for higher education. Moving to Houston allowed CGP to reach even more young individuals, providing training in public speaking and community service. His efforts didn’t go unnoticed, earning recognition from Barack Obama and My Brother’s Keeper.
