Harry and Meghan have been receiving criticism for their efforts in distributing food to those affected by the LA wildfires.
Actress-turned-producer Justine Bateman voiced her disapproval, labeling the couple’s actions as merely a โphoto opโ while they were at an evacuation center aiding victims.
Sharing her views on X, the 58-year-old commented, โMeghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive โphoto opโ they achieved.โ
She questioned their motives, asking, โThey are โtouring the damageโ? Are they politicians now? They donโt live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.โ Her remarks accompanied media footage she reposted on the platform.

The video footage in question showed the pair in Pasadena last Friday, engaging in conversation with the cityโs mayor, Vitor Gordo.
In addition to distributing food, they’ve opened their home to friends and family affected by the fires and have donated clothing and children’s items to those in need.
While many on social media echoed Bateman’s sentiments, others praised Harry and Meghan’s charitable actions.
One commenter stated, โItโs 2025; leave them alone. I get you donโt like them for exposing family drama but, they are trying to help people out. You got nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself. Iโm indifferent to these people but, let it rest already.โ Meanwhile, another supporter noted, โBecause they have resources they can share. Theyโre community-minded people.โ
