Elon Musk’s Daughter Reacts to His Unusual Proposal to Taylor Swift

Elon Musk’s daughter has spoken out after he made a rather perplexing offer to Taylor Swift.

The billionaire entrepreneur stirred up quite the controversy online after suggesting that he would be willing to have a child with Swift.

The 53-year-old CEO took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on the 11th of September, commenting on Swift’s recent Instagram post regarding her voting preferences.

Taylor Swift, known for her Grammy-winning music, shared a photo of herself cuddling her cat, Benjamin Button, in a post that appeared to lightly mock Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance. She ended her post with the playful hashtag: “Childless Cat Lady.”

In a surprising turn, Musk, a known supporter of Trump and Vance, responded with: “Fine Taylor… you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

This comment from Musk sent shockwaves throughout social media, quickly becoming a topic of wide discussion. “This tweet takes things to a whole new level of strange. It’s not even eccentric at this point, just outright unsettling,” expressed one user. Another added, “Elon responding by offering to father a child with Taylor Swift is pure oddball behavior.”

Users referenced an earlier incident when Trump mistakenly called Musk “Leon” at a rally, adding a humorous twist to the situation: “Cringe just called and asked you to stop, Leon.”

Many criticized Musk’s comment as inappropriate, especially regarding Swift. “No disrespect, Elon Musk, but any self-respecting woman, including Taylor, would likely choose to have a child with someone who genuinely loves and respects her,” remarked another user.

Adding to the chorus of critiques, someone else offered, “Hey, if you need some pointers on talking to women, I’d be happy to help. I’ll write the terms — not your lawyers, clearly they’re out of their depth here.”

Another netizen questioned the intention behind Musk’s post, asking, “With 197 million followers, this is what you share? Kamala Harris wins the debate, and now you declare you want to have a child with Taylor Swift, who probably has no intent towards you. Is this your display of power and dominance? Is it working for you?”

Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, also had her take on the incident. Vivian, who is transgender, shared, “Taylor Swift’s endorsement for Kamala Harris could not have come at a better time. Looking forward to the Swifties making their voice heard at the polls. Vote blue.”

Vivian didn’t hold back, saying, “Yes, I’ve seen ‘the tweet.’ It’s just another example of heinous nonsense. It’s appalling, and if it’s not evident to you, then you’re part of the problem.”

Offering words of encouragement, she continued, “To everyone out there, don’t tolerate such talk. It’s disgraceful, humiliating, and incredibly disrespectful. You deserve much better.”

Swift’s initial Instagram post aligned with her official endorsement of the Democratic candidates after the vice-presidential debate between Trump and Harris. “Seeing the risk of AI spreading falsehoods confirmed my decision to be clear about my voting plans. Honesty is the best antidote to misinformation,” Swift declared.

Taylor Swift has been outspoken about her political stance and the importance of voting. Back in September 2023, on National Voter Registration Day, she urged her fans to register. “Are you registered to vote yet? I’ve been blessed to see so many of you during my US tours,” she shared on Instagram, nodding to her Eras Tour. “I’ve witnessed your voices’ power firsthand. Make sure to use them in our elections this year.”

Swift’s call to action spurred an extraordinary response with Vote.org reporting a significant surge in web traffic. According to Nick Morrow, Vote.org’s communications director, after Swift’s influential “Anti-Hero” post, the site garnered an average of 13,000 users every half an hour.
