Elon Musk’s daughter has spoken up following his unexpected offer to Taylor Swift, which has raised quite a few eyebrows.
Recently, Musk was criticized on social media after an unusual comment he directed at Swift, offering to “give” her a child.
On September 11, the 53-year-old tech billionaire used the platform X (previously known as Twitter) to comment on Swift’s recent Instagram post, where she shared her voting preferences in a lighthearted manner.
The celebrated singer posted a photo of herself alongside her beloved cat, Benjamin Button, seemingly poking fun at JD Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate, by signing off with the phrase “Childless Cat Lady.”

Upon seeing Swift’s post, Musk, who has openly supported Trump and Vance, cheekily responded: “Fine Taylor… you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
This comment took things to new, bizarre heights and wasn’t received well by many, who found it more unsettling than eccentric.
Swift’s online followers found themselves baffled by Musk’s statement that quickly gained traction, garnering various strong reactions. A voice among the replies pointed out how unusual the comment was, stating, “This tweet just takes things to a whole new level of strange. It’s not even eccentric at this point, just outright unsettling.” Someone else put it more candidly: “Elon responding to tonight by telling Taylor Swift he’ll impregnate her is peak weirdo and creeper behavior.”
One Twitter user alluded to Trump’s recent verbal slip and commented: “Cringe just called and asked you to stop, Leon,” referring to when Trump mistakenly called Musk “Leon” during a rally.
Critique continued, with many labeling Musk’s remarks as inappropriate, especially concerning Swift. A concerned fan commented, “No offense, Elon Musk, but no self-respecting woman would agree to this, and I am certain Taylor Swift is a woman who may decide to have a child in the future with a man who truly loves her for who she is… And, yes… I am a Taylor Swift fan.”
Another added support: “Buddy, if you wanna learn how to talk to women, I’m available. But I’ll write the contract, not your lawyers. Apparently, they have no idea how bad it is.”
One more sharply criticized the post saying, “This is what you post when you have 197 million followers? Harris won the debate tonight, and now you want to give a child to Taylor Swift, who has no interest in you. Is that some sort of alpha male dominance thing to make you feel powerful and virile? Is it working??”
Amidst the uproar, Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, who is transgender, didn’t shy away from expressing her views either. Vivian stated: “The timing for the Taylor Swift endorsement of Kamala Harris honestly could not have been better. Can’t wait to see the Swifties at the polls. Vote blue.”
“Also, yes, I saw ‘the tweet’. Heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense,” Vivian continued. “I don’t really have anything to add to it, it’s just abhorrent. That much is obvious and if you don’t see how then you’re part of the problem.”
“I would just like to say to my audience members, don’t let people talk to you like that. It’s disgusting, it’s belittling and incredibly sexist. You deserve better.”
Swift’s Instagram post came shortly after the presidential debate between Trump and Harris and was her official endorsement of the Democratic candidates.
“It really conjured up my fears around AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” the pop star shared about her post’s intention. “It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.
The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
Swift has not been shy about voicing her political views and the importance of voting. Back in September 2023, she prompted her US fans to action on National Voter Registration Day, encouraging them to ensure their voices were heard.
“Are you registered to vote yet? I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you at my US shows recently,” she expressed on Instagram, in relation to her celebrated Eras Tour. “I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year.”
Her post had a significant impact, as Vote.org witnessed record-breaking activity on their site afterward. Nick Morrow, communications director for the organization, commented that following Swift’s motivational post, the site had “an average of 13,000 users every 30 minutes.”
