Elon Musk Says It’s Now Possible To Travel To Any City In The World In Under An Hour

Have you ever imagined hopping over to any city across the globe in just under an hour? Elon Musk, the visionary behind companies like Tesla and SpaceX, says this could soon be a reality.

Elon Musk, known for spearheading advancements in electric vehicles and space exploration, suggests that traveling between any two points on Earth in a mere hour might soon be possible, thanks to SpaceX’s remarkable innovations.

The Starship, hailed as the most powerful rocket on the planet, has been primarily designed for cosmic ventures. However, it holds the potential to dramatically transform the way we travel here on Earth as well.

SpaceX envisions a future where Starship could comfortably accommodate up to 1,000 passengers, making it possible to journey to any destination worldwide in less than an hour. Surprisingly, most journeys are expected to clock in at under 30 minutes.

A notion of this innovative travel was recently shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a promotional video that highlighted how the Starship-based travel concept might unfold. Elon Musk chimed in on the conversation affirming that this kind of travel is now possible.

The concept elaborates on passengers boarding a boat to an offshore platform where the Starship awaits for takeoff.

When Musk responded, hinting at the feasibility of such travel “in a few years,” it sparked excitement among many. It even tied into recent political developments, with mention of Trump’s election victory.

The Starship promises speeds reaching up to an astounding 27,000 km/h, dwarfing the capabilities of today’s commercial airplanes, which max out around a mere 1,000 km/h. SpaceX has entertained a few intriguing possibilities, such as a 29-minute flight from London to New York—a journey spanning 5,555 km. Even more fascinating is the idea of covering the 9,648 km between London and Hong Kong in just 34 minutes.

Intriguing developments like these, steered by Elon Musk and SpaceX, hint at a future where distant cities might soon be just a short rocket ride away.
