When Leonard reached the age of 18, his parents, Kenneth and Lily, were excited about the prospect of him going to law school. They had always pictured their son as a successful lawyer with his own firm. However, when Leonard revealed his aspiration to become a musician, their dreams for him were shattered.
Leonard’s parents were sure they knew what was best and did not support his wish to pursue music. A heated argument ensued, after which Leonard decided to leave home.
For three years, they remained estranged. Despite Kenneth and Lily’s attempts to bridge the gap, Leonard kept them at arm’s length. Through other family members, they received occasional updates about Leonard. They held onto the hope that one day, he would reconcile with them. Unfortunately, that day never arrived.
One Sunday morning, like any other, their world was turned upside down. The police informed them that Leonard had died in a tragic motorcycle accident.
In the wake of his sudden passing, Lily vowed to visit her son’s grave each day.
The day after the funeral, Lily observed a teddy bear on Leonard’s grave. Assuming it was misplaced, she replaced it with fresh flowers.
Yet, the next day, another teddy bear appeared.

Perplexed, Lily pondered over who could be leaving these toys.
On the third day, she noticed a young woman with a child approaching Leonard’s grave, intending to place another teddy bear. Lily approached her and curiously asked about her actions.
The young woman, who seemed both sorrowful and apprehensive, began to cry. Upon questioning, she revealed that she was Leonard’s girlfriend, and the child was their son.
Lily was overwhelmed, momentarily speechless. The realization that she had a grandson came as a shock amidst the grief of losing Leonard.
The woman, introduced as Carrie, recounted her love story with Leonard. They met while he worked at a bar to support his music dreams. Their love blossomed, culminating in the birth of their son. Leonard had plans to reconcile with his parents, awaiting the perfect moment, which, tragically, never materialized.
Lily invited Carrie to their home, where she introduced her to Kenneth. Over an extended conversation, they discussed the future and how they could be a part of their grandson’s life. Gratefully, Carrie welcomed them into their new family dynamic.
