When Donald Trump takes office, he’s set to hit the ground running with a whirlwind of plans to execute. At 78 years old, Trump intends to make waves right from the start.
He has outlined a packed agenda for his first day in office, with plans that include being sworn in, holding a rally, and making significant policy changes, all in one day. Ending the conflict in Ukraine, pressing forward with substantial deportation operations, and revoking electric car mandates are just a few of the declarations he has made. Additionally, Trump has mentioned pardoning thousands involved in the January 6 Capitol incident.
In addition to these actions, Trump aims to introduce tariffs targeting transgender athletes in sports. This all aligns with his inauguration, which faced last-minute changes to an indoor event due to a polar vortex threatening to strike Washington D.C. and major parts of the country on January 20th.

During a conversation with NBC, Trump brought up his plans to commence large-scale immigration raids starting in Chicago as soon as Tuesday, stating, “Well, it’s got to happen, and if it doesn’t happen, we’re not going to have a country any longer.” The specifics of how his team intends to carry out this plan remain unclear.
One of his assertive announcements includes halting the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. At a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump boldly declared, “That is a war that’s dying to be settled. I will get it settled before I even become president.”
Among his pledges is the intention to pardon those implicated in the January 6 events, potentially within the first nine minutes of his presidency.
Economic aggression is also on his agenda, with plans to set tariffs on Day One. He intends to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Mexico and Canada, and on “all products coming into the United States.”
Also on his list is to dismantle environmental rules to fuel American energy production. As he stated, “The day I take office, I will cancel Crooked Joe’s electric vehicle mandate,” showcasing his commitment to this change on the very first day.
Indeed, Trump seems to have an extraordinarily busy and ambitious day planned as he steps into office, indicating major shifts and actions from the outset.
