Imagine finding out that a medical procedure you agreed to included an unexpected ‘bonus’ you never asked for. Brooke Shields recently shared such an experience with her fans.

She opened up about a surprising and rather invasive personal encounter with her surgeon. Brooks revealed that during her labia surgery, the doctor decided to give her a bit extra that wasn’t part of the plan.

In her upcoming memoir, Brooke describes how a trusted gynecologist took liberties without consulting her. She felt her autonomy was disregarded and was left uncomfortable with the extra procedure.

Brooke had discussed the need for a labia reduction due to recurring issues such as discomfort, chafing, and even bleeding. From a young age, she had faced these challenges.

These personal health challenges led her to this decision. However, she was aware that her insurance didn’t cover such procedures, labeling them as cosmetic.

“The last I checked, I didn’t sign up to be an adult film star,” Brooke humorously remarked.

But when postoperative checkups rolled around, Brooke’s doctor gleefully informed her of an additional change he decided on. Without her request or consent, she had also undergone vaginal rejuvenation.

Now, Brooke lives with the aftermath of a more drastic alteration than she intended. The surprise procedure, aimed at aesthetic purposes, was done without her knowledge or agreement. This story serves as a poignant reminder to manage and communicate expectations in healthcare effectively.
