Oppenheimer Star Emma Dumont Comes Out As Trans Masculine Non-Binary

Emma Dumont, starring in the blockbuster movie Oppenheimer, has shared a personal revelation, identifying as trans masculine and non-binary.

Through a representative, the 30-year-old actor announced their change and embraced the name their family now uses to address them.

The actor has also updated their pronouns on social media from ‘she/her’ to ‘they/them,’ marking a significant change in their personal and public identity.

Their spokesperson, speaking to TMZ, said, “They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person.” Further clarifying, the spokesperson added, “Their professional name will continue as Emma Dumont, but among family and friends, they will be known as Nick.”

In line with this change, Dumont updated their Instagram name to ‘Nick Dumont’. Despite these adjustments, they have chosen not to make a public statement about their transition so far, instead expressing these changes more subtly through social media.

Their most recent images on the platform present a more masculine appearance, contrasting with the previously glamorous and feminine red-carpet styles.

Emma Dumont took on the role of Jackie, Oppenheimer’s sister-in-law, in the acclaimed film which premiered in 2023. The film featured a stellar ensemble including Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Florence Pugh.
