Deborra-Lee Furness, the former wife of Hugh Jackman, is reportedly very upset with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively due to her ex-husband’s rumored new relationship. After being married for 27 years, Jackman and Furness announced their separation in 2023.
Soon after, there were whisperings of the ‘X-Men’ actor dating Broadway star Sutton Foster. The news did not sit well with Furness, who has expressed her feelings of betrayal, as she claims she was the last to find out about the romance between her ex-husband and Sutton Foster, who is 49 years old.
Sources reveal that Furness feels particularly let down by Jackman’s close friends, Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. They reportedly chose to stay quiet about the relationship out of loyalty to Hugh. A source close to the situation shared, “They kept their lips sealed out of loyalty to Hugh.”
“Deb is now extremely angry about being left in the dark and feels blindsided. She has always had an excellent memory and isn’t hesitant to make use of it!” the source explained. It seems Deb feels wronged by the three of them, feeling that someone among them could have informed her of the developments, but they all opted to remain silent.
Plans are reportedly underway for Jackman to introduce his new girlfriend to the children he shares with Deb – Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19 – during the Christmas holidays. However, Deb does not appear very enthusiastic about this idea, showing reluctance towards a blended Christmas celebration.
“It’s a delicate balancing act for Hugh. He’s concerned that if anyone gets to have less time with the kids this year, it might be him,” the insider added.
Hugh, aged 56, first crossed paths with his new love interest while performing as Harold Hill in ‘The Music Man,’ which showed between February 2022 and January 2023 in Manhattan. Sutton Foster, the actress in question, played the role of Marian Paroo. Since then, the pair has been seen attending various events together, including the opening night of the Broadway show in February 2022.
