The beloved and respected Texas news anchor, has died suddenly, leaving the community in mourning.

KCEN 5 News shared the tragic news, noting that his family is requesting privacy during this difficult time.

He was 51 years old.

His wife, through her sister, released a heartfelt statement on Facebook.

“The KCEN family and the Central Texas community have suffered a great loss,” expressed KCEN President and General Manager, Rob Dwyer.

“A cherished husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a dedicated anchor for KCEN, will be deeply missed. He was a compassionate and generous person whose presence elevated everyone around him. Parting with him is truly difficult.”

He was an integral part of KCEN for over two decades, having joined the station in 2002 as the sports anchor.

His journey continued as he took the mantle of the morning anchor for the “Texas Today” show, a role he passionately fulfilled for nearly ten years.

He then transitioned to the evening anchor position, where his warm and engaging delivery became a staple for countless viewers.
